Biquini Wax EPS
Founded in 2008 in Heroica Zitácuaro, Michoacan by artist Israel Urmeer, Biquini Wax EPS has been running in Mexico City since 2011.
Biquini Wax EPS is an independent contemporary art “church” in Mexico City, run by artist-priest Paloma Contreras Lomas; Rodrigo García; Ramón Izaguirre; Israel Urmeer; Cristóbal Gracia; Daniel Aguilar Ruvalcaba; Eric Valencia; writer Gustavo Cruz; Sandra Sanchez; art historian-priest Natalia de la Rosa; curator-priest Roselin Rodríguez Espinosa; and Julio García Murillo. It is housed in an apartment where some of its members live, with minimal separation between domestic and religious spaces.
