Oolite Arts supports artists and advances the practice and understanding of contemporary visual arts. The organisation provides opportunities for experimentation and innovation, fostering the exchange of ideas across diverse cultures through residencies, exhibitions, public programmes, education, and outreach.

Founded nearly four decades ago by potter Ellie Schneiderman to provide affordable workspace for visual artists, Oolite Arts continues her mission to “help artists help themselves”. It offers free studio space, exhibition opportunities, financial support, and connections to art leaders, while also engaging the Greater Miami community in contemporary art.

The organisation values diversity, inclusion, and equity, rejecting discrimination or violence, and celebrates the varied perspectives that make Miami’s artistic landscape vibrant and dynamic.
