The India International Centre is one of the important cultural institutions of the country. Conceived as a space for exchanging of new ideas and knowledge in the spirit of international cooperation, its purpose, stated in its charter, is “to promote understanding and amity between the different communities of the world”.
The Centre organises a rich calendar of activities and events, from lectures, seminars, panel discussions, international and national conferences to a range of cultural events – music, cinema, performing and visual arts which take place in the different venues of the Centre. Programmes organised by the Centre are open to all and without tickets/invitations or passes. A detailed listing of the monthly programmes can be accessed on the Centre’s website and a selection of some of the programmes webcasted live on the site.
