Flux Factory is a laboratory for cross-disciplinary experimentation based out of a 8000 square foot, 3-story converted greeting card factoryin Long Island City. Born in 1994 as an informal artist collective to create an alternative platform to the commercial gallery scene, it is now a professional multi-use facility where artists make new work and present exciting projects to a diverse audience.

Flux is unique in both greater New York City and around the world because of their ability to help artists who struggle to make their artwork in increasingly difficult economic circumstances. On an annual basis they provide studios for upwards of 30 artists, exhibition opportunities for over 150 artists, and bring their work to an ever-expanding audience of viewers. In addition, each year they host over 50 events including open studios, monthly salons, workshops, show-and-tell sessions, lectures, film-screenings, and receptions.
