The not for profit space was founded in 1991 in the apartment of the owners and founders.

The gallery’s name comes from the fact that it was founded in 1991 in the apartment of the owners Csaba and Suzanne Kiss. In 1996 they turnerd Šamorin’s former synagogue in the current space which is a centre for contemporary art used for exhibitions, performances, residencies and concerts.
