Espaço Parlapatões is one of the two spaces managed by the namesake group. Inaugurated in 2006, it hosts shows of the group, as well as from other national and international groups and companies. Moreover, it is the setting for other shows, festivals and events.
The Parlapatões group was founded in 1991. Its singularity is to conciliate the legacy of the circus, with comedy and theatre, with provocative humor, an original dramaturgy, improvisation and popular elements. The group operates in the whole country and tries to generate political debates and reflection in the artistic class and the public.
The group also inaugurated a second space in 2012, the Galapão Parlapatões, used as a circus training centre, for theatre rehearsals, courses, workshops and events.
