BWA Tarnów

BWA Tarnów is a cultural institution operating in its present form since 1996. The gallery’s focus is on contemporary art, spanning from the classics of Polish contemporary art to the most interesting phenomena of Polish art in recent years. Every year the gallery organizes over 30 exhibitions and artistic events both in-house and in other venues in Tarnow, galleries in Poland and abroad. Since 2004, every autumn the gallery organizes the interdisciplinary festival ArtFest: a platform for artist meetings, with a programme of exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, screenings, meetings, publications. In 2001, the Gallery has launched Tarnowskie Klimaty, an art contest now organized as a triennial.
