Socrates Sculpture Park
Founded in 1986, Socrates Sculpture Park is the only site in the New York Metropolitan area specifically dedicated to providing artists with opportunities to create and exhibit large-scale sculpture and multi-media installations.

Socrates Sculpture Park is a community engaged New York City waterfront park dedicated to supporting artists in the production and presentation of public art.
Today the park is an international outdoor museum and also serves as a vital NYC park. It used to be abandoned until 1986.
