Sieverding-Palermo

Katharina Sieverding belongs to the artists generation in the 70’s who has worked with photography as autonomous artistic medium renewing it. Sieverding has used photography and video to set forth her own idea of image. Life and death, politic hope and intolerance, power, social and economic frustration and ecology are some points of her huge artistic production. At the Haus der Kunst the artist shows a series of billboards confronting also with the themes of urbanization and individual isolation.

Haus Der Kunst is the Sicilian house and exhibition space for artistic exchange between Düsseldorf, Germany and Palermo, Italy since 2016, led by the Verein Düsseldorf Palermo e. V. which was founded in 2013 by German and Italian artists and curators.
