The Palestine Museum US participates in the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia as an official Collateral Event of Biennale Arte 2026. It presents “Gaza – No Words – See The Exhibit,” a large-scale exhibition of 100 Palestinian tatreez embroideries documenting the genocide in Gaza.
Hosted at Palazzo Mora within the European Cultural Centre in Venice, the exhibition is organised by the Palestine Museum US and features 50 × 80 cm embroideries created by Palestinian women in refugee camps and villages in Lebanon, Jordan and the West Bank. Each work consists of approximately 55,000 stitches, amounting to a collective total of 5.5 million stitches, forming detailed visual records of events in Gaza.
“Gaza – No Words – See The Exhibit” functions as a testimony and archival act, preserving evidence and bearing witness to lived experiences. The exhibition seeks to raise global awareness and calls for accountability and justice within the international community.
The works are exhibited daily from 10am to 6pm, closed on Tuesdays, with free admission. The project extends the museum’s commitment to platforming Palestinian narratives on an international stage.
Faisal Saleh, Founder and Director of the Palestine Museum US, states that the exhibition brings urgent testimony to a global audience and aims to foster awareness and action in support of the Palestinian people.
The project also includes a sponsorship initiative in which individuals and organisations may support individual works; contributors’ names are embroidered alongside those of the makers.
