Title: What Goes Around Comes Around
Organized by: Fondazione dell’Albero d’Oro
Curators: Daniela Ferretti, Dakin Hart
Exhibitor: Bosco Sodi
Fondazione dell’Albero d’Oro presents an exhibition featuring the artwork made by Mexican artist Bosco Sodi during his residency at Palazzo Vendramin Grimani in February/March 2022. The exhibition, curated by Daniela Ferretti and Dakin Hart, opens during the 59th Venice Biennale.
When approaching painting, Sodi produces extremely meticulous artworks using several layers of sawdust, cellulose pulp, glue, and pigment on the canvas. His sculptures explore the purity of the volume in simple, essential forms. For this exhibition Sodi conceives a participative performance: positioning 195 small spheres made of Oaxaca’s clay on the floor, the artist invites the visitors to move them, constantly changing the exhibition setting day by day.
