Hybrids. Leandro Erlich al Negozio Olivetti
On the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, the exhibition “Hybrids. Leandro Erlich al Negozio Olivetti” presents the work of Leandro Erlich. Curated by Marcello Dantas, the project is an official collateral event of Biennale Arte 2026. Conceived for the historic Negozio Olivetti in Piazza San Marco, the exhibition creates a dialogue between Erlich’s sculptural practice and a site associated with design and vision. The presentation features approximately twenty works, including several previously unseen sculptures.
The exhibition focuses on hybrid organisms where vegetal, mineral, architectural, and anthropomorphic forms intersect. Through these intersections, the artist constructs a visual language that challenges stable categories of perception. Operating between the familiar and the uncanny, the works suggest that artistic form is a generative force capable of reshaping how reality is imagined and inhabited. “Hybrids” explores metamorphosis and the porous boundaries between nature and artifice, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship to space, matter, and perception.
