Philip Guston and the Poets

Gallerie dell’Accademia showcase the first major exhibition held in a museum by Philip Guston, during the 57th Biennale di Venezia.

With the title “Philip Guston and the Poets”, the show features works that span a fifty-year period in the artist’s career, including 50 paintings and more than 20 drawings from the 30’s to the 80’s. Alongside of these incredible works of art, the exhibition reflects the language and prose of five poets such as D. H. Lawrence, W. B. Yeats, Wallace Stevens and T. S. Eliot.
