Title: Trees Grow From The Sky
Organized by: HouseofArt Ceske Budejovice
Curator: Lucie Drdova
Exhibitor: Rony Plesl
The exhibition project by Czech artist and sculptor Rony Plesl “Trees Grow from the Sky / Gli alberi crescono dal cielo” addresses the questions of the essence of human existence and the definition of humanity. It also touches upon the relation of man and nature, providing its immediate reflection on multiple layers of meaning. The narrative of the overall concept and site-specific installation of the unique glass artworks revolves around a journey; around seeking our path in the world of today.
The realization of the project will be a world premiere of a globally unique glass casting technology Vitrum Vivum allowing the creation of glass sculptures without any limitations. The exhibition coincides with the 2022 International Year of Glass as proclaimed by the United Nations – and thus presents a timely artistic and technological exploration of the material.
