The international market of independent art publishing opens in Bologna for its seventh edition, on February 1-2-3, 2019. This year edition of “Fruit Exhibition” is hosted for the first time in the spaces of the historic building of Palazzo Isolani, located in the suggestive Piazza Santo Stefano, open to the public with a selection of more than 100 excellent independent national and international editors. The fair, including the most interesting paper and web publications dedicated to the art field, is enriched by a varied programme of conferences, workshops, exhibitions and installations, all focused on this year main topic, namely the “humour”. Between them the exhibit project by artist Cosimo Veneziano, titled “Cronòtopo”, aimed to narrate the universe of library through art and the “FIP – Fruit Indie Publishing” award, at its first edition, which sees different publishers competing with original prototypes of artistic books.
This year too, the initiative occurs during Bologna contemporary art weekend, simultaneously with Arte Fiera and Art City, organised by Crudo and supported by Comune di Bologna and Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna.
