Public Forum: The Relationship between Independent Producers and New Performing Arts Venues in Asia
On Friday 6 May, the public forum of the second Producers’ Network Meeting and Forum takes place at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center. The free talk explores current developments within the performing arts scene in the region, looking at common challenges, the potential for collaboration and dialogue, and the roles that independent producers and new venues can play in creating conducive environments for artists to make work for a wider audience.
Join us to hear independent producers Sun Ping from Taiwan, Erik Kuong from Macau and Orlean Lai from Hong Kong reflect on the contexts in which they developed their practices, and how these contexts may be affected by recent developments.
