South Island Art Night

Great exhibitions, artist performances, video art corner, music, food and drink will welcome local and foreign guests in Hong Kong’s new destination for contemporary art. Free shuttle connecting from Central and Wan Chai will be provided for visitors.

The South Island Cultural District (SICD), with more than 16 local and international galleries and artist studios spreading from Wong Chuk Hang to Ap Lei Chau, Tin Wan and Aberdeen, our neighborhood has become a new and exciting destination for contemporary art.
No other district in Hong Kong, except Central, has so many high quality galleries located in the same area. And no other district has so many galleries hosting exhibitions in large industrial spaces. The SICD is a major evolution and improvement to the Hong Kong art scene and is growing fast.
