Breakfast in the Park 2016

Each year, in celebration of Art Basel Miami Beach, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University hosts Breakfast in the Park presented by West Kendall Baptist Hospital.

This event draws hundreds of art enthusiasts, patrons, collectors, gallery owners and artists from around the world, many of whom are visiting Miami for Art Basel. Each year a noted sculptor is invited to speak. Guests enjoy a complimentary outdoor breakfast, informal lecture and guided tours of the Sculpture Park as well as the exhibitions.

This year, Judy Pfaff will participate as guest speaker. A pioneer of installation art, Judy Pfaff’s vibrant sculptures and sprawling installations carefully piece together plastics, fiberglass, steel, and a variety of materials to create dynamic environments. Over the course of her career, she has earned numerous awards, including a MacArthur Fellowship, Guggenheim Fellowship, and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, among many others.
