#10 Pianos Street is an installation-concert for ten old pianos. Composed by Yae for the Piano City Milano festival, and staged for the first time at the Modern Art Gallery of Milan, it was replicated in 2014, 2015 and 2016 on several occasions, including in Milan’s Expo opening ceremony, for the Pietà Rondanini Museum opening ceremony and for the Nuova Darsena opening ceremony, becoming a symbol of Piano City (BBC) and the new Milanese Renaissance.
All pianos are processed by Street Artists, including Acme 107, Fungus and Zoow24 , among the others, and are on sale to the highest bidder. The proceeds will be donated to a charity.
The performances are entrusted to the Music School Antonia Pozzi’s ensemble of piano, composed by the pianist Marta Caracci, Carmen Dattilo, Victoria Faggiani, Silvia Gilio, Satomi Hotta, Margherita Paolazzi, Geneva Portalupi Pope, Lorraine Portalupi, and Francesco Villa.
