The Art Encounters are back with a new appointment at the Volvo Studio Milano: Rome-based artist Giovanni Vetere is the protagonist of a performance that sees the aquatic element take on a central role, transforming the space into an abstract and metaphorical underwater scientific laboratory.
The piece, entitled “Talk to the Fish”, is the latest version of “Liquid Ground”, a performance inspired by the theories of homo aquaticus and scientists A. Hardy and E. Morgan. Entirely immersed in an aquarium designed by himself, Giovanni Vetere tests any pre-established awareness of the public and its ability, as a human being, to adapt to a new environment. The performance is accompanied by a talk moderated by the collective The Orange Garden: the artist, immersed in the tub, will be able to listen to the speeches and interact with them at the same time.
