Gabriele De Santis: Case chiuse #04

Gabriele De Santis’ new installations welcome the visitors inside Vautrin/Vudafieri’s home, specially opened to public in occasion of the fourth edition of Case Chiuse by Paola Clerico: an itinerant project hosting every year a different artist in a different private house.

Gabriele De Santis, starting from the daily language, elaborates a portrait of nowadays borrowing symbols by digital communications. The artist seeks knowledges and raw materials surrounding us to create an iconography which eliminates differences between high and popular culture revealing the essence of contemporaneity.

Entering Casa Vautrin/Vudafieri the visitor will find a parrot invading the courtyard which becomes a metaphor of the present time with its beautiful and ironic aspects. A private location transformed in a bizarre and playful place where everyone can find references from mythology and collective imagery following this bird mysterious flight.
