Giuseppe Porcelli: Garçonnière

Giuseppe Porcelli presents his debut furniture collection at Milan Design Week, bringing to life an intimate concept within a pied-à-terre in the heart of Milan’s Città Studi district.

A private and homoerotic space inspired by the tension of male love, it reflects on ego, solitude, and hedonism. Drawing from the traditional notion of the garçonnière, Porcelli seeks to reinterpret this space—conventionally seen as a heterosexual male retreat for romantic encounters—subverting its meaning to reflect the gay experience: a place to be furnished in a personal way, as an expression of taste and status, as well as a space dedicated to private and intimate encounters.
