Gucci: Bamboo Encounters
Curated and designed by 2050+ and its founder Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli, “Gucci: Bamboo Encounters” celebrates the role of bamboo in the history of the Maison through unique contributions by contemporary designers from around the world.
Featuring newly commissioned works by: Anton Alvarez, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Laurids Gallée, Kite Club (Sheltens & Abbenes, Bertjan Pot), Sisan Lee, Dima Srouji, and the back studio. In addition to the exhibition, Gucci and 2050+ have organised a series of panel discussions with the participating designers, industry guests, and creatives. The programme is divided into four acts—each exploring different dimensions of “encounters”, articulated through imaginaries, materials, crafts, and narratives.
