One hundred skeletons march through the streets of Milan on a November night. The mute eloquence of their passage expresses what they can no longer say. They have been walking for an hour, going through the squares, the monumental places, the churchyards. The skeletons claim nothing but the right to walk these streets again and to return to the midst of their homes. For the making of this film, director Yuri Ancarani has stretched his gaze over the arc of images and figures of his own, where Scott Gibbons has interpreted the silence of the march with the paradox of sound.
