Opposites United Milano 2025

The third edition of Opposites United Milano takes place during Salone del Mobile 2025 from April 7–13. Created by Kia in collaboration with ZERO, the seven-day festival transforms Museo della Permanente with a diverse program of visual arts, interdisciplinary talks, live performances, and an immersive installation by the Kia Design Team.

This edition features French artist Philippe Parreno and the duo A.A. Murakami, who reshape the museum’s spaces. Parreno presents a new Marquee on the façade, an illuminated structure that reacts in real time to live performances. A.A. Murakami introduces Beyond The Horizon, an installation from M+ Museum in Hong Kong that explores transience through floating vapor forms. Their new piece, The Cave, combines light, water, and movement to blur the line between presence and absence.

The 2025 theme, Eclipse, represents transformation, disruption, and knowledge, drawing from historical, mythological, and scientific perspectives. Opposites United Milano continues to serve as a platform for dialogue and experimentation, bringing together artists, designers, and thinkers to explore new creative directions.
