Superstudio 2026

Superstudio returns to Milan Design Week 2026 with a project that explores international design through a combination of aesthetics, research and innovation. The programme unfolds across three venues and a total surface of 30,000 square metres, distributed between Tortona, Barona and Bovisa. Through a multi-layered curatorial approach, the project brings together established designers, global brands, educational institutions and emerging practices, reflecting the evolving landscape of contemporary design.

Superstudio Più – SuperNova
At Superstudio Più in the Tortona Design District, SuperNova presents a programme focused on leading international designers and brands. A central highlight is the return of Moooi, which presents a large-scale immersive installation by Marcel Wanders within the Central Point space. Marking twenty-five years since the brand’s debut in Milan, the project combines iconic works with new interpretations, set within a luminous and scenographic environment. Additional international brands and independent pavilions contribute to a dynamic presentation of contemporary design.

Superstudio Maxi – SuperCity
At Superstudio Maxi in Barona, SuperCity takes shape as a collective project imagining an ideal city of the future. The programme brings together design, art and architecture through a series of thematic environments and collaborations. At its centre, Giulio Cappellini presents a large-scale installation that explores future urban scenarios through a cinematic and immersive approach. The project also includes a focus on international academies and universities, highlighting research and education, alongside ongoing collaboration with ICFF – International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

Superstudio Village – SuperPlayground
The newly introduced Superstudio Village in Bovisa hosts SuperPlayground, a programme dedicated to emerging designers, studios and creative collectives. Developed through an international open call, the project provides flexible exhibition spaces for new voices in design. The initiative reflects an experimental and inclusive approach, supporting the development of future practices and expanding access to the wider design network.

A project for the city
Across its three venues, Superstudio Design 2026 proposes a model that connects established figures, research platforms and emerging talent. The project contributes to Milan’s role as a global design hub, fostering dialogue and new creative ecosystems. A unified access system, based on a single QR code, is implemented across all venues, with the addition of a potential transfer service linking the three locations to enhance the visitor experience.
