Ingruttati Palermo

Organised by Hydrocity and the Polytechnic University of Palermo, Ingruttati Palermo is a workshop investigating the city’s underground water network built in the 10thc. and abandoned at the wake of modernity. It will consider this derelict infrastructure both as an alternative water source and as a reading device to foresee the future of the city. Running from the hinterland, to the city and coast, the invisible lines of water can link unexpected connections. The workshop will produce a publication and an in-situ installation revealing the hidden network.
