Screening in the presence of Zineb Sedira

170 Boulevard de Magenta, 75010

Echoing ‘Dreams Have No Titles’, presented by artist Zineb Sedira at the Pavillon français during la Biennale di Venezia, the Institut français, in partnership with the City of Paris, organizes a private screening in presence of Carine Rolland, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of Culture, Eva Nguyen Binh, President of the Institut français and Zineb Sedira and Nabil Djedouani, specialist of Algerian cinema. The public will discover the short film Mise en scène’by Zineb Sedira as well as the film Les Mains Libres by Ennio Lorenzini (1964-1965) in its freshly restored version for the first time in France.

This restauration was made possible thanks to the support of the Cineteca di Bologna and L’Image Retrouvée and in association with AAMOD – Audiovisual Archives of the Workers’ Democratic Movement, Casbah Entertainment and the Algerian Cinematheque.

The Institut français is the public institution in charge of France’s external cultural action. Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, it acts in close collaboration with the French cultural network abroad (cultural services of the French Embassies, the Instituts français and the Alliances françaises).
