Starting Sunday
Starting Sunday 2025 takes place from 19 to 25 October across Paris, Île-de-France and the regions. Organised by the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (CPGA), the event opens the Art Week in partnership with Art Basel Paris. It brings together 140 participating galleries presenting 108 solo exhibitions and 32 group shows, with 45 openings, 20 artist encounters, and 4 performances. The programme highlights the diversity of the French and international art scene, strengthening connections between galleries, artists and fairs, while engaging collectors, professionals, and the public.
Focus days mark different neighbourhoods: Matignon on 20 October, the Marais on 21 October, Saint-Germain-des-Prés on 23 October, and Grand Paris and the regions on 22 and 25 October. Access is free in all participating galleries, with guided tours available in the Marais and Saint-Germain-des-Prés on 19 and 25 October. Visitors can explore exhibitions through a printed guide and an interactive map.
In 2025, the CPGA introduces the Public Prize, inviting visitors to vote for their favourite exhibition. The event features 78 galleries in the Marais, 30 in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, 15 in Matignon, 15 in Grand Paris, and 6 in the regions, with 110 galleries open on Sunday 19 October.
