Mirko Leuzzi: Fortezza

The historic villa La Saracena hosts “Fortezza“, Mirko Leuzzi‘s solo show, curated by Paola Aloisio. The exhibition is configured as a special event that lasts a single day. 

Leuzzi brings life to the suggestive frame of the romantic seaside villa with his female portraits. Using mainly bright oil colours, Leuzzi has a harsh, edgy, but at the same time tender, intimate trait. Leuzzi‘s girls are strong, intense and emotional, full of regrets, questions and shame, yet they find peace in this restful place, in a serene dialogue with space. These women are almost friezed memories that Leuzzi collected for the visitor of this special timeless event.
