Lecture: The Photographic Practice

In this encounter, that starts at 8:00 pm, artists Flavia Junqueira (b. 1985, São Paulo) and Mauro Restiffe (b. 1970, São José do Rio Pardo) reflect about the contemporary photographic practice, departing from their own experience within the field.

Flavia Junqueira holds a MFA degree from the University of São Paulo and a bachelor degree in Fine Artes from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado – FAAP; she also participates in the Program Pivô Research. She has presented solo shows and participated in group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, in institutions Paço das Artes, Instituto Tomie Ohtake, Museu da Imagem e do Som, Cité des Arts and Palais de Tokyo, among others.

Mauro Restiffe holds a bachelor degree in cinema from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado – FAAP, studied photography at the International Center of Photography, and was a Visiting Scholar at the New York University. In 2016, he’ll present a solo show at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, in Moscow.
