Rivers and Streets Expedition
Urban rivers on Brazil and abroad are the theme of the Rivers and Streets Expedition, that takes place at the Museu da Casa Brasileira in celebration of the Urbanism Day.
The activity begins with the collective assembly of a 12 m² puzzle that represents the diversity of rivers and streams that lay beneath the city of São Paulo, followed by a talk with geographer Luiz de Campos Jr. , landscape designer Caren Lissa Harayama and architect and urbanist José Bueno. Afterwards, the expedition will explore the surroundings of the museum in search of springs or streams in the region, thus arousing awareness about the water as a central element for city development and about the role of the citizens not only as consumers of hydrous resources, but also as educators for sustainability.
The event is free and starts at 3 pm.
