Giuseppe Chiari: La Luce

On the occasion of Artissima 2018, the centre of research in sound and new music technology Tempo Reale creates a new and site-specific audiovisual installation based on the original score La Luce (1966), by Florentine artist Giuseppe Chiari. The installation establishes a suggestive dialogue between sound and silence, while speakers and light sources are activated following the score. Hosted at Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli, it offers a chance of reflection upon the two dominating topics of this edition of Artissima: time and sound. “Time” is the common theme of the fair, while sound experimentation is central in the new section of Artissima, titled SOUND, hosted at OGR, Turin.
