Hamish Fulton: Public Walk
On the occasion of Artissima 2018, galleries Häusler Contemporary, Zurich, and Galleria Michael Rizzo, Venice, present in collaboration a performative piece by the “Walking Artist” Hamish Fulton. From the 1967 on, Fulton has realised several extended hikes in the five continents, which are all preludes to his paper works and wall sculptures. During Artissima, on November 2, 2018, he will perform one of his walking pieces on the test track of Fiat Lingotto factory, inviting the public to join him. The act is conceived as a meditative moment, during which all participants are invited to leave aside their smartphones, to undertake the silent walk.
From November 2-4, 2018, an overall installation by the artist, including works from the 1980 to 1994, will be on view at Artissima, in the “Back to the Future” section.
