My Art Guides Venice Meeting Point 2024

As per tradition, every year at the Venice Biennale, My Art Guides,  opens the doors of the exclusive Navy Officers’ Club, to art professionals during the vernissage week.

This year’s main partner Alserkal Initiatives, created an exhibition titled When Solidarity Is Not a Metaphor curated by Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez to offer a counter-space to the reigning agendas of war and climate toxicity. The exhibition is realised in collaboration with Cité internationale des arts in Paris.

Established in 2015, the Venice Meeting Point is a platform created by Lightbox to foster an international dialogue around contemporary art, thus creating collaborative opportunities between visual artists, art organisations and the international art community, as well as cultivating a deeper public engagement with the arts.

For a week in April, the Venice Meeting Point will transform into a generative space. Relationships and collaborations will burgeon through shared artistic practices and a programme of performances, music, food, and site specific installations will punctuate the ‘surrogate home’ of the Navy Officers’ Club.

To complete the experience at the VMP, Santi Group – one of the most distinguished catering companies in the region of Veneto – will set up the Santi Listening Bistrotespecially conceived for the occasion.
Wine will be curated by the esteemed Venetian natural wine bar Vino Vero.
