Re-Echo Club

D is for Duchamp the Deep Dyed Deceiver, Riva dei Sette Martiri, Castello 1430/A

The Re-Echo Club owes its existence to a literary fraud.
In 1913, Carolyn Wells staged the discovery of the correspondence of a forgotten society, an invented archive that, by pretending to have been found, retroactively grants itself a history.

In the context of the exhibition "D is for Duchamp the Deep Dyed Deceiver", the Club reopens as a public research programme dedicated to reception, authorship, and the afterlives of artistic gestures.
The programme unfolds through six encounters, each bringing two interlocutors into dialogue. One perspective takes its point of departure from the field opened up by the exhibition, the other from a broader contemporary condition. From this exchange, a new echo emerges, already altered by the voices that produce it.

The contributions will be published in the DOCS section of NERO Editions.

The programme opened with an encounter between Tim Neutel and Wolfgang Scheppe.

The Re-Echo Club is a public research programme curated by Elena Di Battista and Zoë Wismeth, in collaboration with NERO Editions.
