«Foto-Ernst» – Haus der analogen Kunst

“Photo-Ernst” is an art and culture project, which will take place in the summer of 2016 in Zurich as part of European art biennial “Manifesta 11”.

The aims is to bring back to life the “Photo-Ernst” house at Badenerstrasse 211 (which was close for nearly twenty years). Various projects and activities at home to visitors bring the history and practice of analog photography detail.

Weekly basic and advanced courses teach the craft of analog photography; the photographing bar provides space for meetings and exchange of knowledge; the still existing inventory of the store is available for purchase. The aim is to create an engagement with visitors and make them in contact with the art and the crafts of resurgent analog photography. The place to be with his magic source of inspiration, from which many of our own, small art arise.
