Zurich Art Weekend
Zurich Art Weekend returns from Friday, June 10th to Sunday, June 12th, 2022, for a full three day program that animates the city into an international platform for art discoveries and encounters with key players.
For its fifth anniversary edition, Zurich Art Weekend presents a rich program of over 70 exhibitions and 150+ curated free events through its annual flagship weekend. Together with the museums, galleries, off-spaces, universities, foundations and collections, Zurich Art Weekend looks forward to welcoming the international public the weekend preceding Art Basel.
New venues, such as the Nicola Erni Collection and Bechtler Stiftung, join a network of long-term members of Zurich Art Weekend confirming the non-profit organisation’s role as a platform for premiering exhibitions and events which emphasize the latest experiential formats. Zurich Art Weekend works to trigger engaging dialogues and enrich the links between all artistic entities, championing more democratic access to the arts and opening the city’s art scene to international cultural exchanges.
To complement a large array of exhibitions, a unique program of events provides different ways to engage with the arts: guided visits with curators encounters with artists, performances, art walks, studio visits, talks, and festive gatherings. Furthermore, this edition of ZAW will explore intersections between art and new technologies with progressive interdisciplinary events set up by world-leading organisations such as the AICenterofETHZurich,theBlockchainCenterofUniversityofZurich–UZH,andE.A.T./ Engadin Art Talks with Tokengate. Over three days, the public will have the opportunity to attend panel discussions, live demonstrations in labs, and immersive experiences, led by pioneering researchers and artists
