Shannon Ebner: A Pattern to the Letter

The artist is having her first solo exhibition in Athens featuring a new video titled “A Public Character” and a series of photographic works from the work “ Black Box Collision A”. The video, commissioned by ICA Miami exhibition in 2015- 16, is an intricate collage of black-and-white photographs, sound, and quick-fire sequences of text. Her works studies the correlation between language and photography. She constructs images in the studio and outdoors.

Shannon Ebner was born in 1971 in New Jersey and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Her work encompasses photography, video, sculpture and installation.
