Angelica Mesiti: Reverb

Museum Tinguely, Paul Sacher-Anlage 2, 4058 Basel, Switzerland

Presented at Museum Tinguely, “Reverb” explores alternative forms of human communication in an era dominated by digital media. The exhibition brings together five video works by the Australian, Paris-based artist Angelica Mesiti, whose multidisciplinary practice operates at the interface of performance, sound, and video. Her film works and spatial installations offer a sensory experience of performative practices where sound, movement, and gesture function as vital forms of non-verbal communication. These elements generate complex resonances between people, places, and cultural traditions, illustrating the enchantment of the everyday. The exhibition title refers not only to physical acoustic reverberation but also to the metaphorical way that ideas and information travel across space and time, continuing to echo and exert influence across generations.
