Christine Boillat: Edgeland

Laleh June Galerie in Basel hosts the solo exhibition by Swiss artist Christine Boillat, featuring a series of latest drawings. Started a year ago and completed in summer 2020, the group of works is named “Edgeland“, an English term referring to a peripheral urban area, with few signs of civilisation and occupied by vegetation. For Boillat, it is also a general metaphor for a liminal zone between different worlds, such as imagination and reality, dreams and nightmares.
