De la Lune à la Terre

The solo exhibition at DOCK, Basel, by Maeva Rosset originates from Saskia Edens’s performance “Mare Nectaris” taking place in her studio. Here, Edens uses objects from previous performances, ancient cultures, and natural cycles, or materials such as clay, milk, and metals, as a basis to create a fragrance. Maeva Rosset presents an olfactory installation, consisting of 29 small bottles filled with this fragrance in different concentrations, stimulating various impressions of closeness and distance. The bottled perfumes also reference myths about their story.
