Georg Herold

Nicolas Krupp presents a solo show by German artist Georg Herold (b. 1947).

The artist practice concerns with materials. The use of mixed media and, above all, non-traditional or second-rate materials for his installations and sculptures, led him to be compared to Arte Povera artists.

Among his most recognizable works there are his lascivious, contorted, anthropomorphic figures with poses open to interpretation.

Herold entire body of works interrogates the viewer and instills the search for meaning.
