Group 33: Tribute to Charles Hindenlang

Galerie Carzaniga is pleased to announce its new exhibition Group 33 – Tribute to Charles Hindenlang.

The group 33 is an important Basel artist group that was formed in 1933 as an anti-fascist association.

Not stylistic similarities, but the protest against the conservative tendencies of the Swiss artists and architects scene linked the members. In the exhibition works by important representatives as are Otto Abt, Walter Bodmer, Paul Camenisch, Walter Kurt Wiemken, Meret Oppenheim, Irène Zurkinden and Max Haufler shown. Special attention is also on the work of Charles Hindenlang be shown from which important works from different creative periods.
