Geographies and emotional states melt together, inviting the visitor to inhabit distance—not as a measurement, but as a medium that points to what is not immediately graspable, yet is conveyed in dense presence. So dense you could slice it; it’s transparent, and still you don’t know what’s there. Distance, not as a fixed metric, but as something that registers movement—of orbital bodies, of thought—mocking clear endings and beginnings.
The exhibition brings together works by twelve Icelandic artists. They move with distance between them. That distance becomes the condition of their autonomy elsewhere, while the ground remains both shivering and solid. The result is a shared yet unstable state—at times disorienting—carried by a quiet anticipation that never fully resolves.
