Las ConSuelos

What unites the artworks in the exhibition is not a curatorial concept but rather it is the artist-artists with their geographical, friendship and biographical co-presence (initiated in 2018 through the FLORA residency in Bogota, Colombia). In the exhibition, the different works and artistic approaches will come together for the first time in a fusion of this kind, questioning not only individual authorship in contemporary art discourse, but rather seeking a form of collaboration through the works, their commonalities and contrasts. “Las ConSuelos” could be an attempt to form a collective that is not such, or at least is not defined. Because what is friendship if not a collective form of thinking, working and living together? It is in this open space that “Las ConSuelos” is placed: much more than the idea of a theme or subject, the exhibition brings together a series of pieces that are dedicated to finding a temporary stage or scene.
