Marc Rembold: Less is More

Laleh June Galerie presents “Less is More” – Mirror Series – by Marc Rembold.

The exhibition borrows its title from Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969): «Less is More».
The German-American Architect, he is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modernist architecture. Marc Rembold a.o. oeuvres of the architect, he has a personal fascination with The Barcelona Pavillon’s Mies van der Rohe (1928-1929).

On view in the exhibition «Less is More» at Laleh June Galerie there are five works by Marc Rembold from the artist’s Mirror series – an ongoing series since 1983-.
The origin of «Mirror series» comes from artist’s «Glamour» series 1980- mais dans le sens inverse: Mirror series ce sont l’agrandissement des macro mirror en grand de la serie glamour.
In this exhibition the artist’s central concern is the «reflection» of the glass like Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavillon and how the spectator can plays a key role.
Marc Rembold (Bold) challenges the dialogue between mirror and the artist’s innovations with colour, changing, light- space and reflections, -which have been a constant in Marc Rembold’ work since the early-1980s-.
