Mayday, Hafenstrasse 25, 4057 Basel
Mayday presents “Knuckles Down”, an exhibition bringing together the two artists Maude Léonard-Contant (b. 1979) and Marta Margnetti (b. 1989).
The two artists share the use of minimal forms, emblematic figures, narrative objects in space and in relation to architecture.
Both of them handle a wide variety of materials and their practices concerns the appropriation and reinterpretation of everyday things with a formally reduced visual language.
