The group show at Galerie Mueller is an homage to late 1970s and early 1980s’ German art scene.

In that period a new stylistic movement emerged with a multitude of protagonists from different geographical areas but that had in common large-format, figurative portrayals and clashing colors.

The exhibition is a celebration and also a dispute with a type of painting rooted at the beginning of 20th century that finds suitors also in today’s contemporary art.
