Oliver Krähenbühl: From Behind my Eyes – Facts and Fictive Spaces

The solo show presents works by the Swiss-based artist for whom the artistic process itself is a central element of his paintings. Krähenbühl is inspired by the fact that in todays world the unceasing stream of visual information is often overloading, and results in only fragments of impressions remaining. With his works he aims at visualizing this process by repeatedly applying images on to the canvas, washing them away and applying new ones. Thereby, his artistic practice can be compared to that of a sculpturer who is constantly removing and adding bits of plaster or clay, and removing them again.
